Heck, I'd probably be more than happy with just half that.

They sell them in America and that means once I get a real paying job I am buying one!

I'll settle for 2000lbs if it means I get a hard roof and an engine bay big enough for a turbo V8.

That's easy... make your own. Do as my buddy is doing... (or is it me doing all the work) and put a 4G63 in it—you'll have more than that without having to tweak anything.

That sounds scary. . . but think of all the fun I could have trying to kill myself!

The problem with the 4G63Ts in this configuration are that all you can get with respect to rear-wheel drive transmissions are the ones used in the D50/Mighty Max, which aren't really built for high horsepower applications. While I like the 4G63T better than the SR20DET, the SR20DET tends to be a better choice for rear-wheel drive project cars.

That's easily taken care of. We have a custom bellhousing to bolt up to a Supra transmission... we have the supra rear end as well.

You, sir, are far more craftier than I was when I was into Mitsubishis. :)

But from my personal experiences, it's a shame the Starion never came with the 4G63 in the U.S. the ability to add a rev-happy motor with a modern fuel injection and plentiful aftermarket support would have been amazing.

Best of luck with your build.

that is the second one. my buddy started,I did the welding and most fabrication, then it ended ib my garage. hopefully ill get to it eventually. it'll be bigger than mine, but it'll have more hp. well see.
